Tell Her How I Feel

Awakened by the soft whisper of thunder
Bang bang was the quiet tapping on my window pane
I leaped out of bed and began to wonder
Whatever is doing this must be insane
So I looked out the window to get a clue
About the tapping since there was nothing else to do
When I gazed out the window I saw an owl
He began to talk don't ask how
Whoo tell her how you feel
I closed my white curtain in a hurry
To the bathroom I began to scurry
Pulled a thermometer out of the drawer thinking I'm ill
My reflection quickly replied tell her how you feel
I ran out of the bathroom in a flash
Down the hall I did a slow dash
And as I was going out the front door
I whispered this is a dream for sure
I remembered looking into her splendid spectacular special hazel brown eyes
To love is the saddest joy
A comfortable feeling that can annoy
And as I sat on my porch I felt a chill
As the northerly wind said tell her how you feel
I quickly tried to run away
But the words hunted me like a lion seeking its prey
And as I passed by an automobile
The car shouted tell her how you feel
My heart was a lily that withered away
But now it's the finest rose in a bouquet
Your lovely smile shines brighter than the sun
You are the best like the number one
O what lovely smooth light brown skin
Just seeing your beautiful face makes me grin
You have such fine black hair
For you I will always care
Your personality seems rather sweet
Starting at your beauty is such a treat
The sweetness of your breath
Could revive the coldest heart from death
Your beauty far surpasses diamonds and gold
And other treasures this earth may hold
You're the girl that's very special to me
On a scale of one to ten you exceed one hundred ninety three
That's when I heard a big squeal
I turned in its direction to see what's the deal?
I awoke in bed from a dream that seemed so real
So I decided to go to the kitchen and cook a meal
That's when the owl flew on the stove praying playing saying
I knew you had the skill
To tell her how you feel
